"The Garden Uncorked" coming to Georgia Southern's Botanic Garden this May

The Botanic Garden at Georgia Southern University is proud to announce "The Garden Uncorked: An Evening of Wine, Small Bites, Music & Fun," scheduled for Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

This relaxed evening will blend quality wines, delicious food, and live entertainment within the Garden's welcoming 11-acre historic setting. Guests will stroll through the Garden's beautiful landscapes, enjoying wines paired with delicious small bites at various tasting stations. The evening ends at the Heritage Pavilion with additional wines and live music.

The Garden Uncorked showcases the Garden in a new light while supporting vital educational and horticultural programs. The event invites the community to experience the Garden's beautiful spaces while enjoying wine and food in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere that celebrates the natural heritage of the region.

Event Details: 

  • Date: Thursday, May 8, 2025 
  • Time: 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. 
  • Location: The Botanic Garden at Georgia Southern University, 1503 Bland Avenue, Statesboro 
  • Tickets: $55 per person (early bird pricing), with a $5 increase each week until the event
  • Includes: Wine tastings, delicious food pairings, souvenir wine glass, and live music by the May Belles 
  • Ages: 21 and over only; valid photo ID required

This signature event honors the legacy of Dan and Catharine Bland, whose vision and love of nature transformed their family farm into what is now the Garden. Their pioneering spirit of agricultural innovation continues through community celebrations that connect people with the region's natural heritage.
