Ronnie Melton is the new Bulloch County Recreation and Parks Athletic Manager

Ronnie Melton, Athletic Manager for Bulloch Parks and Recreation

The Bulloch County Recreation and Parks Department is pleased to announce the appointment of Ronnie Melton as the Bulloch County Recreation and Parks Department Athletics Manager. Ronnie has worked with the department for more than 30 years.

Ronnie started with the department in 1992 and has worked in the Athletics Division for 33 years.

He graduated with a Bachelors in Recreation from Ole Miss, and while there, he started working in intramurals and fell in love with athletics. Most recently, he has supervised the south end of Bulloch county, which covers three community parks, including Brooklet, Nevils, and Stilson.

He oversees baseball, basketball, football, and soccer. Within those sports, he handles registration, staff training, teams, and coach recruitment. One of his true passions is officiating. He has been a GHSA football and basketball official for over 30 years. Ronnie has been an integral part of the parks and recreation department for over 30 years.

"Through his years of service, he has the knowledge and passion for youth and adult sports that will help maintain and develop athletic programming," says Dadrian Cosby, Director of Bulloch County Recreation and Parks.

Ronnie will be working full time out of the Statesboro office effective January 27, 2025.
