Mental health for everyone: Limitless Counseling LLC offers affordable therapy solutions

Nikita Robinson, M.Ed, LPC, NCC, CPCS, CCTP

In a world where mental health struggles are pervasive, access to affordable counseling services can be a lifeline for many. Nikita D. Robinson, LPC, NCC, CPCS, CCTP, the driving force behind Limitless Counseling, LLC, is committed to breaking down barriers to mental health care in the Statesboro community.

Drawing from 13 years of extensive experience and training, Robinson offers a diverse range of services at Limitless Counseling. From brief solution-focused therapy to suicide prevention education and risk reduction courses, her practice caters to individuals facing various mental health challenges. Additionally, she provides mandated therapy and comprehensive education and training programs.

Though Robinson herself is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, she and her team are well-equipped to support individuals dealing with various mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to more complex disorders like schizophrenia. Their extensive experience, including work in prison settings, has honed their ability to provide compassionate care to individuals facing even the most difficult circumstances.

But what sets Limitless Counseling apart is its commitment to accessibility. Robinson's Reduced Cost Counseling initiative, services offered by her counselors-in-training, priced at $15 per session for the first 8 sessions and $25 per session thereafter, makes quality therapy affordable for those in need. This initiative is especially crucial amid rising suicide rates, a concern close to Robinson's heart.

Robinson's commitment to suicide prevention is particularly noteworthy. As the former Suicide Prevention Coordinator at Georgia Southern's Counseling Center, she received extensive training in this critical area. Now, through Limitless Counseling, she continues to advocate for suicide prevention awareness and works tirelessly to make mental health services more accessible to those who need them most.

She shared her passion for suicide prevention, stating, “When I was in that role, I wanted to perform that to the best of my ability. I really wanted to make a difference, and really do things, so I felt a responsibility to learn as much about it as I could. And in turn, it made communicating about the topic of suicide feel easier for me, and less stigmatized.”

Through her program, Robinson also mentors practicum students and interns, providing them with invaluable training and guidance in addressing sensitive topics like suicide. By empowering these future mental health professionals, she not only enriches their education but also helps to expand the reach of mental health services in the community.

Her journey to establishing Limitless Counseling was fueled by a desire to make mental health care more community-centered.

"I've always dreamed of opening a community center," Robinson explains. "After years of research and coaching on how to start a business, I finally took the leap. The demand for mental health practitioners in our area is evident, with many practices currently waitlisted."

Promoting wellness and resilience in our community

In discussing the importance of accessibility to mental health services, Robinson emphasized, “Counseling is confidential and we work with people on ways to deal with the scary, painful, and difficult things. Most individuals who die by suicide have never seen a counselor.”

She believes that increasing access to counseling could significantly reduce suicide rates, especially among Georgia's younger population, where rates are on the rise. With May bringing Mental Health Awareness Month, Robinson's services take on added significance. In a world grappling with rising suicide rates and heightened stressors, affordable therapy options are more critical than ever.

"Accessible mental health care is key to promoting wellness and resilience in our community," Robinson emphasizes. "Now, more than ever, we need to prioritize mental health and make support services readily available to all who need them."
