The 2025 Joint Annual Convention of the Georgia/South Carolina Fair Association was held January 30-February 1, 2025 in North Charleston, SC.
At the convention, the 2024 Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair was recognized with several awards, including “Best Printed Promotional Marketing Award”, “Best Poster Marketing Award”, and the “Best Overall Marketing Campaign Award.”
The theme of this year's fair was "Footloose at the Fair," and you can see the award-winning marketing below.
These awards were proudly accepted by Lisa Turner, Fair Committee Marketing Director, and Bobby Turner, Fair Chairman.
In addition to these club awards, the Miss Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair Queen, Sydney Dorsey, brought home the crown at the Miss GA/SC Fair Pageant that was held in South Carolina. She is now the reigning 2025 Miss GA/SC Fair.
"Being the Miss Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair queen has been nothing short of amazing," Dorsey shared. "It’s given me an insight to the hard work and dedication that goes into being a Kiwanian, a chance to represent an outstanding organization, and to be a part of something much larger than myself. This organization is surrounded and filled with the most uplifting, passionate, and selfless members. I’m blessed that I was chosen to be a part of their community."
The 62nd annual Kiwanis Ogeechee Fair was held October 14-19, 2024, at the Kiwanis Ogeechee Fairgrounds in Statesboro.
According to the Kiwanis Club of Statesboro, the purpose of the fair is to bring a fun-filled event to the seven-county area surrounding Bulloch County while raising money to give back to the communities that the fair serves.
