Happy New Year, Statesboro, Bulloch County, and surrounding areas! May this year bring you joy, success, and laughter. The Georgia Southern Performing Arts Center team remains tirelessly committed to making your enjoyment and entertainment a priority every time you attend.

And now for the exciting news! Are you ready to experience the magic of the 2025 series at the Georgia Southern Performing Arts Center? They've got a full line up of morning shows, as well as some amazing evening shows. The morning shows are now open to the public.

“Our School Matinee Series was traditionally closed to the public and only available to schools in the area for field trips. Now we have opened the shows to everyone,” said Allyson Lee, Patron Services Manager.

The PAC welcomes schools to plan field trips and encourages homeschoolers and other community organizations, including seniors and retirees, to attend. Matinee shows are very affordable at just $5 per ticket.

"We want to make coming to the theater fun and ensure the shows are educational and follow a theme that you can carry over,” added Lee.

2025 Matinee Series:

  • Friendship and understanding life lessons in The Velveteen Rabbit (February 10, 10:30am)
  • Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s life and legacy in Meet Dr. King (February 11, 10:30am)
  • Recycling and caring for the environment in Upcycled Cinderella (March 26, 10:30am)
  • Space and STEM in Jack's Adventure in Space (March 27, 10:30am)
  • An adaptation of William Wycherley’s The Country Wife—a staged production of a classic literary work (April 10, 10:30am; for high school students and older adults)

  • Americana Woman, a four-piece folk band from NYC (March 18, 7:30pm)
  • An adaptation of William Wycherley’s The Country Wife—a staged production of a classic literary work (April 10-12, 7:30pm)

“Our audiences are always cheering, laughing, and having a good time, and that is really what we are all about. When people enjoy what we are doing; it fills me with so much joy. Live theater makes an impact on lives. We encourage you to come by and join the fun,” Lee said.
