The Summer Youth Tour, organized by the Foundation for Rural Service and sponsored by Bulloch Solutions, is scheduled for summer 2025 in Washington, DC.
According to the Foundation for Rural Service, the Youth Tour has hosted thousands of high school students from across rural America since 1995. The tour is an exciting chance for these students to visit our nation’s capital and learn about rural broadband. They are also able to share their community’s story with key legislative, regulatory, and government figures, while enjoying the opportunity to meet and interact with their peers from other rural communities.
Bulloch Solutions is looking for two dedicated students and active members of Bulloch County ages 15-17 for the Summer 2025 Youth Tour. Candidates must be Bulloch County residents and members or customers of Bulloch Solutions. All applications should be submitted for consideration by January 1st, 2025.
A 500-word essay outlining the paragraph below, should be included with the application.
The Selection Committee will need the following information for application and consideration:
1. Why I Want to Participate
- With a minimum of 500 words, please explain why you are interested in participating in the Summer Youth Tour and what you hope to gain from the experience. Highlight any specific interests or career aspirations related to telecommunications, rural issues, or advocacy.

The submission timeline for applications will be from 11/1/24 to 1/1/25. The applicants will be reviewed in a blind application process and chosen based on the set of criteria outlined by Bulloch Solutions.
