Boro bridal expo scheduled for September 17

The wedding of Ramsey Rigdon and Loy Waters at the Market

The To Have and To Hold Bridal Show will be held on September 17, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Market at Visit Statesboro, 222 South Main Street, where the weekly Statesboro Main Street Farmers Market is held. This venue will present the numerous nuptial options couples have thanks to several wedding experts and vendors in our area and is organized by Elevated Events and Visit Statesboro.

Couples will register, and once they enter, they will be able to browse businesses that will cover every aspect of their special day. There will be more than 60 wedding vendors, educational demonstrations, drawings and giveaways, live performances, and much more, including a cash grand prize.

Every facet of this experience can be included in the attendees’ weddings; for example, a violin quartet playing at the entrance may be booked for a cocktail hour. The music provided by local artists or a DJ company may be scheduled for a reception. Couples may find their wedding cake in a sample they taste. It will be a delightful day filled with local talent that will enhance one of the most important days in a couple’s journey together.

Jeff Wells is no stranger to bridal shows; he has been a part of them for eight years. He is a part of a group called Elevated Events, which is comprised of wedding professionals in and around Statesboro. Wells has hosted fashion shows and murder mystery dinners in addition to bridal shows. Since the wedding industry is a bustling one, Wells and his colleagues host two bridal events per year, one in the fall and one in the spring.

Owner of award-winning Shockwave Entertainment, a local DJ company, Wells has been instrumental in weddings for most of his career. With twenty-five years of experience, Wells turned a part-time DJ gig into a full-time career. His team of six DJs stays busy in Statesboro and surrounding areas, setting the most memorable day to music. Wells loves networking with other vendors and building reciprocal relationships that will enhance the wedding experience for all.

“When it comes time for those doors to open on the bridal show day, and seeing a packed line of brides and grooms waiting to get inside and seeing the smiles on the vendors’ faces as the brides walk in, that’s what I’m in it for,” Wells explains.
