The Foundations Resource Center (FRC) held its annual "Pack the Gingerbread House" market on Giving Tuesday, raising $17,000 to support local families.
"Pack the Gingerbread House is a festive Christmas market that brings the community together to celebrate the holidays while supporting a meaningful cause," said Jessica Anthony, Director of Development at FRC.
The event featured live music, a market with locally-made crafts and baked goods, and hot drinks from Three Tree Coffee. Attendees enjoyed socializing by the fire pit and kicking off the holiday season.
"This year's sponsors, including Three Tree Coffee, McCook's Pharmacy, and many talented individuals, played a vital role in the event's success," said Anthony.
Proceeds from the event will directly support FRC's mission of helping families achieve lasting stability. The center provides essential resources and programs to empower families in the community.
"We love how Pack the Gingerbread House brings the community together and allows people to see the impact of their support firsthand," Anthony said. "The festive atmosphere creates a sense of togetherness and reminds everyone of the joy of giving."
Christmas Market items still available online
The FRC is already planning for next year's event, aiming to make it even bigger and better, and the community can still support FRC by shopping the remaining Christmas market items online or donating at frcfriends.org.
"By participating in events like Pack the Gingerbread House, you become a vital part of our efforts to help families in need," said Anthony. "Thank you for being part of the magic and the mission!"
