The Bulloch Academy Lady Gators continued their impressive start to the season with a commanding 11-1 victory over Jenkins County on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. This win marks their third triumph in as many days, bringing their overall record to a flawless 4-0.
The Lady Gators have been nothing short of dominant this week. Their offensive firepower was on full display Monday as they crushed Tattnall County 19-6. The momentum carried into Tuesday, when they bested Briarwood Academy with a solid 8-1 performance. Wednesday’s game further highlighted their strength, with a total of 38 runs scored and only 8 runs allowed across the three games.
This week’s performance underscores the Lady Gators' impressive statistics. As a team, they are hitting an eye-popping .524, demonstrating a potent offense that is giving opposing pitchers a tough time. On the defensive end, the Lady Gators’ pitching staff has been equally formidable, holding their opponents to a mere sub .200 average at the plate.
"The team’s approach at the plate has been exceptional, and our pitchers are executing their game plans flawlessly," said Coach Ashley Burke. "Our focus is on maintaining this level of play and staying sharp as we move forward."
The Lady Gators will look to continue their winning ways when they return to the field this Saturday, August 17. They are set to face the First Presbyterian Day Lady Vikings at 11:00 a.m.
