Trailing by as much as 18 in the second half, Georgia Southern men's basketball brought it to within five multiple times but could not get any closer in an 82-75 loss to Coastal Carolina.
The Eagles (5-21, 5-8 Sun Belt) went ahead 19-17 after a three by Eugene Brown III, but never again went in front after the Chanticleers (7-17, 4-9) nailed seven straight field goals.

Coastal hit most of its remaining free throws down the stretch to seal an 82-75 win.
The Eagles shot 38.7 percent from the field and 29 percent from three. Moore struggled to hit his shots in his return to the lineup, recording nine points on 4-18 shooting.
Banks scored 21 to lead the Eagles, his second consecutive 20-point effort, and Brown (13) and Parker (11) also scored double digits. Kuhl grabbed a career and team-high eight boards in the loss.
