Georgia Southern's Ben Carr has been named the men's golf SwingU NCAA Division I College player of the month.
Carr was named the Sun Belt Conference golfer of the week twice in March after winning the Schenkel Invitational on March 19, tying for second at the Colleton River Collegiate on March 7 and at the Valspar Collegiate on March 28.
Carr led Georgia Southern to team tournament titles at the Colleton and Schenkel.
He posted a 68.56 scoring average during the month and shot par or better in eight of nine rounds. The fifth-year senior shot 10-under-par at the Colleton and the Valspar, which featured six teams ranked nationally in the top-10 and 27 individuals ranked in the top-100 by Golfstat.
He finished eight-under in winning the Schenkel. In addition to his four wins, Carr now has 14 top-five finishes and 27 top-10 finishes in his collegiate career.
Currently ranked 28th by Golfstat, Georgia Southern returns to action at the Sun Belt Championship April 23 to 27, at Annandale Golf Club in Jackson, Mississippi.
