Meredith Anderson Creasy went home to be with the Lord at the age of 94, on October 22, 2024. Meredith was born in Statesboro, Georgia on April 2, 1930. She met and married the love of her life in 1953. They moved into their new home in Augusta, Georgia where she resided until her death. She was a member of the former Sherwood Baptist Church in Augusta.
Meredith was surrounded by her family and friends as she was reunited in Heaven with her husband of 48 years, Lorenzo Creasy. She was preceded in death by her parents Leon and Tera Anderson and her sisters Marion Anderson and Marjorie Haire. She is survived by her daughters Jackie Creasy, Cindy Crawford (Mark) and Tonya Cadle (Ralph); her grandchildren Rachel Fowler (Kristina), Tiffany Smith (Greg), Brooke McDaniels (Zach), Carly Boose (Hunter), Evan Cadle and Juliana Cadle; her great grandchildren Landon Brown, Cooper Smith, Tucker Smith, Elaina Boose, Knox McDaniels and Emersyn Boose and many nieces and nephews.
Those who knew Meredith will remember her love of gardening and flowers; but her greatest love was for her family. For at least 45 years she prepared Sunday dinner at her home for her entire family – rarely missing a Sunday. Every family member was honored with a homemade cake of their choice on their birthday even as the family grew throughout the years.
Meredith’s life will be honored with visitation (from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.) and service (at 6:30 p.m.) on Friday October 25, 2024, at Thomas Poteet and Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Road, Augusta, Georgia. She will be laid to rest at 11:30 a.m. on October 26, 2024, at Nevils Crossroads Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Billy Pendell, Greg Smith, Zach McDaniels, Hunter Boose, Evan Cadle and Drew Smith.
