Mrs. Lula Mae Brown, age 96, entered rest, rest Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Facility.
The Bulloch County native was the daughter of the late Johnny “Bud” Walker and Ida Anderson.
At an early age she became a member of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a deaconess and Treasury of the Mission. She was a faithful attendee of the General Missionary Baptist Association (GMBA).
In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her husband, Clarence Martin Luther Brown, a sister, Juanita Anderson, a daughter, a daughter-in-law, and a granddaughter.
She leaves to cherish her memoires, four sons, Clarence Jerrald Brown (Connie), Metter, GA, Earl “Bo” Brown, Register, GA, Harold Danny “Doogie” Brown, Conyers, GA and Ronald “Fred: Brown, Statesboro, GA; four daughters, Linder Ann Shatteen (Larry) Hampton, GA, Toni Suzette Hamilton (Jospeh), Conyers, GA, Netarcha Machelle Brown, Statesboro, GA and Glennette “Gidget” Brown, Register, GA; a sister, Willie Mae Hecks, Jacksonville, FL; 26 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.
A viewing for Mrs. Brown will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Chapel of Hill’s Mortuary. A family visitation, from 6 pm 8pm.
The funeral service for Mrs. Lula Mae Brown, will be held 2 pm, Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. Gregory Thomas, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.
