Lillian Brown-Slater 82 passed away at East Ga Regional in Statesboro Ga April 10th, 2025. She was born on June 5, 1942 to George and Lily Mae Brown. She had a love for music and loved the Lord. In her younger days, she sang alongside her daughter in a traveling bluegrass band, but she spent most of her life serving the Lord. She was an Evangelist visiting nursing homes and churches to spread God's word. In her down time she faithfully read her bible as well as repainted and redecorated her house, and she loved to make dolls.
She is survived by her children Becky Crowe Beard, Randy Crowe, Corbin Crowe, Scotty Crowe, eleven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren. Sister Earlene Smith of Metter and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lester Slater, sisters Dorothy Funderburke, Mildred Holloway, Evelyn Smith and Caroldene Mathis and one brother JC Brown. As per request no funeral or memorial will be held.
