James Lee Faircloth, 58, died at Eastern Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro on February 20, 2025 at 5:45 p.m. of cardiac arrest.
He was many things to very few but those that he loved, he did so with everything that he had. He was a man that presented himself as ten-foot-tall and bulletproof but behind that tough exterior was a heart of gold that very few got the privilege of seeing. If he thought well of someone, he would go above and beyond to assist them in any way that he could. James was a loving partner to his wife, a devoted father to his two children and his niece, a protective brother to his siblings, and a caregiver to anyone he knew that needed it. His passion in life was fishing. Many a day he would be caught with a pole in one hand and a cold beer in the other, relaxing on a bank somewhere.
James is survived by his wife, Linda Thornton Faircloth; his daughters, Samantha Rowell and Makayla Faircloth; his niece, Danielle Anderson; and his brothers, Christopher and David Faircloth.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
