Sylvania, GA - Mrs. Betty Lou Williams Rogers, 83, of Sylvania, GA, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Pineview Nursing Home and Rehab surrounded by her loving family.

Betty was born in Savannah, GA to the late Bertha Lou Frawley and Charles Edward Williams. She moved to Hilton Head, SC in 1987, and then returned back to Georgia where she worked as a medical assistant for many years at Millen Medical Center. Betty liked anything and everything to do with Jesus, watching TV preachers, books, and music. Betty was a member of Big Horse Creek Baptist Church until her health would no longer allow her to attend.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Rogers; children, Rick Brown, Cheryl Carter, and Janice Brown; and a brother, Charles Edward Williams II.

She is survived by her daughter, Patty Bullard, of Thunderbolt, GA; stepchildren, Guy Rogers, and Kim Holbert; a sister, Juanita W. Freymuth, of Richmond Hill, GA; son-in-law, Paul Redman; a special niece who helped care for Mrs. Betty, Melissa Taylor; grandchildren, Crystal Powell, Brandi Sanders, Heather Sikes, Billy James Brown, Josh Rogers, Jessica Bullard, and Kenneth Bullard; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday June 9, 2024 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Joiner Anderson Screven Chapel.

Funeral services will be held on Monday June 10, 2024 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Joiner Anderson Screven with Rev. Bert Hickman officiating.

Interment will follow in the McDonald Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be B.J. Brown, Kenneth Bullard, Ryan Sikes, John Sanders, Josh Rogers, and J.R. Powell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Creed Sanders, Payne Sanders, Ashton Garner, Cason Garner, Rick Brown, L.J. Brown, and Hayley Brown.
