On Wednesday April 12, the team from Wild Georgia Safari in Candler County presented its business experience to local entrepreneurs. The presentation unfolded at the Georgia Southern Business Innovation Group's BIG Café at 8:30am, with Cool Beanz Coffee being served alongside donuts for attendees. Wild Georgia Safari Owner, Jake Mosley, presented alongside his marketing manager, Wendy Salter, as both detailed the full-scope of the local safari experience.

The duo also unveiled prospective additions for the future expansion of their safari enterprise!

The Wild Georgia Safari Park is a year-round petting zoo located in Metter, GA. It is found at 26127 GA Hwy 57 South, right off Exit 98 on I-16.

It houses a range of animals typically found on a standard safari run. Some of these animals include blackbuck antelope, kangaroos, camels, zebras, goats, pigs, bison, ostriches, and many others.

Speaking of ostriches, attendees of the Wednesday BIG Café meeting got the chance to hold a freshly laid ostrich egg, which was pulled straight from the ostrich nest that morning. (Let’s just say that the experience was filled with both wonder and anticipation as we collectively imagined if the hatchling would be making its appearance while being held in one our hands!)

The Safari offers a petting zoo for $5 per person and an all-encompassing safari ride for $15 per person. The safari ride includes the petting zoo and playground within the experience.

The petting zoo is open 7 days a week from daylight to dark, and the safari ride is available from 10am to 4pm with weather permitting. No appointments are necessary on Saturday and Sunday. Onsite amenities to the safari experience include a gift shop, which houses local merchandise and locally-grown goodies such as jams and pecans.

The Mosley family has been involved in the farming and livestock business for several generations. However, they could have never imagined how much delight their animals would bring to the countless locals and interstate travelers who make their way to the Wild Georgia Safari Park each year.

Owner Jake Mosley is truly energized to carry forth the mantle of the Wild Georgia Safari Park experience. He has an Exotic Animals License, a tank-full of passion, and an undeniable desire to scale his local safari experience to the greater Georgia community.

The BIG Café is an event which is held at The Business Innovation Group (BIG) center each month. It invites local entrepreneurs together to connect over a free cup of coffee. The monthly gathering provides the perfect space for local trailblazers to engage one another on their various innovative ideas.

Each month, two local entrepreneurs have 6 minutes to deliver a presentation of their businesses, followed by a 20-minute Q&A group session. The BIG Café networking event begins at 8:30am, and entrepreneur presentations follow promptly at 9am. The BIG center is located at 58 E. Main St. Suite D Statesboro, GA 30458.

The BIG Café would like to thank Cool Beanz Espresso Bar for sponsoring their monthly BIG Café network gatherings.
