Vote for Statesboro Mainstreet Farmer’s Market in America’s Farmer’s Market Celebration contest

Going on 16 years of fresh, local produce and artisan goods, the Statesboro Mainstreet Farmer's Market is known in our community as one of the best in our region. You can help the market take home the $5,000 top prize in the 2024 America’s Farmers Market Celebration, presented by American Farmland Trust.

Becky Sanders, President of Visit Statesboro says, "Voting in this competition will show our local farmers that we support them and their mission to keep fresh, locally-grown produce available to everyone. There are substantial cash prizes that can help the Market and vendors, and winning would give our amazing Market even more exposure."

The 16th annual America’s Farmers Market Celebration (AFMC) showcases essential markets across the nation making a difference for farmers and communities. Their intention is to lift up the vital role farmers markets play across the country.

America’s Farmers Market Celebration states that it "is the only annual ranking of the top farmers markets in the United States as voted on by the public. Since 2008, the AFMC has highlighted the important role farmers markets play in communities across the nation while celebrating the farmers, staff, and volunteers that make markets happen."

According to the AFMC, “We believe that every farmers market in America is special in its own way. Big or small, in cities or rural towns, farmers markets nourish their communities while helping local farmers, food makers, and artisans thrive.”
