Bulloch County Firefighters working to extinguish the fire. Special

Bulloch County and Statesboro Fire departments responded on Monday, October 28th around 1:00 PM to a fire at Allgreen Services, at 4795 US-301 South.  When the first units arrived on the scene they found a large pile of trash out of control that had moved to a structure.

They requested additional fire engines and personnel to the scene.  Fire command requested Bulloch County Sheriff's Deputies to the scene to close Hwy. 301 south to allow for water supply to the fire.

Firefighters battled a similar fire at All Green in May of last year.  They closed the highway for nearly four hours during that fire.

The City of Statesboro extended water supply from the city out Hwy. 301 to provide water to the the Bruce Yawn Industrial Park.  In doing this, they placed fire hydrants alone the east side of Hwy. 301.

When there is a major fire on the west side of the road, they are required to close the road to run fire hoses across the road to supply the fire engines.
