The Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting at Three Tree Coffee, celebrating the company's new roasting warehouse, on Friday, September 6th. The warehouse is located at 1057 GA Highway 24, near Mill Creek Park.
At the event, guests could learn about the roasting process from Three Tree’s lead roaster, Michaela. They also provided free samples of their Brazilian coffee and cold brew lattes.
Attendees could also purchase the Brazilian coffee as a fundraiser for Missao de Assistencia ao Cuidador, an organization in the north of Brazil that helps children who are victims of abuse.
Philip Klayman, Three Tree Coffee founder, said in the early days of Three Tree, someone told him, ‘Do not despise the days of small beginnings.’
He said, “I don’t think that could ring more true—what started out as something so small and something that we were passionate about has become so much more."
From their humble beginnings 10 years ago, on a 5lb roasting machine, to the current 77lb machine, the warehouse now also serves as their podcast studio and training facility for new employees.
Klayman says they hope to have more community events like tastings and cuppings in the future.
Klayman went on to express his appreciation to the Statesboro Chamber of Commerce as well as his team, and the community for its support. "I am super grateful for this community, its awesome to be part of it and see it grow."
Three Tree Coffee is located at 441 S. Main St., Suite 1A, in Statesboro.
