This summer, students in grades 3 through 8 can dive into the world of technology and innovation at the 2025 Techie Camp, hosted at the Willow Hill Heritage and Renaissance Center in partnership with TECH CORPS and sponsored by the Nordson Corporation Foundation.
Offered completely free of charge, Techie Camp will run from June through July and feature a wide array of engaging, hands-on sessions focused on STEM learning—highlighting everything from coding and app development to robotics and digital animation. No prior experience is needed to participate.
Each camp runs Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm, and is divided by grade levels (3rd–5th and 6th–8th). Here's the full 2025 lineup:
-
Programming: Scratch/Twine – June 2–6
-
Programming: Retro – June 9–13
-
App Development – June 16–20 (Note: No session on June 19)
-
Digital Animation – June 23–27
-
Data: Carnival/Yoyo Mystery – July 7–11
-
Robotics with LEGO EV3 – July 14–18
-
Robotics with Makeblock – July 21–25
Students will explore STEM through activities such as building robots with LEGO EV3 and Makeblock kits, crafting interactive stories and games, learning the fundamentals of mobile app development, and even experimenting with 3D printing and stop-motion animation.
Campers who maintain at least 80% attendance will be entered into a raffle to win free items, with one lucky winner selected per camp.
“Techie Camp is a dynamic way for kids to unlock their creativity while discovering the ‘T’ in STEM,” said organizers. “Campers walk away with new skills, confidence, and even some TECH CORPS swag.”
Registration is now open and available online at bit.ly/25tcwhhrc. Space is limited, so families are encouraged to sign up early.
