Toys for Tots season is officially underway in Statesboro and Bulloch County! While businesses can request boxes now to get started with toy donations, an official kickoff event will be hosted at Office Depot Store 6596 (430 Northside Drive East Suite 120 Statesboro, GA 30458) on Friday, November 1 between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Everyone is invited to come donate toys, request toy collection boxes to have at their businesses, and pick up applications to receive toys, if needed. There will be some exciting giveaways you do not want to miss!
The event is put together by Area Toys for Tots Coordinator Willie Haynes, the Statesboro Jaycees and their Toys for Tots Chair, Hayden LaTulip, and Office Depot General Manager Melissa Tolbert.
Hayden says, “We are excited to start another wonderful year with Toys for Tots and Mr. Willie. The Jaycees always enjoy supporting this fantastic cause and show up to help make it happen. We hope to help many children in Statesboro and Bulloch County have a brighter holiday season.”
Last year, the Statesboro/Bulloch County Toys for Tots campaign was able to locally collect 6,800 toys, 713 books, and 1,592 stocking stuffers. One-thousand and nine hundred sixty four children received toys through not only the Statesboro Jaycees distribution, but also via Fostering Bulloch, Statesboro Family YMCA, Boys and Girls Club of Bulloch County, and United Way of Southeast Georgia.

Applications and all necessary documents must be submitted at Suite 1800 of the Outreach Center at 515 Denmark Street, on the following dates between 9:00AM and 2:00PM. Printed applications will also be available for pickup during these times.

How you can help
A list of businesses and organizations in Statesboro and Bulloch County accepting toy donations will be updated regularly at https://statesborojaycees.com/toys-for-tots. For businesses collecting toys, expect toy pickups to occur between December 10 and December 13.
