Statesboro High School Class of 1984 to celebrate 40 years

The Statesboro High School Class of 1984 will celebrate its 40th reunion on Saturday, July 13th, 2024 at downtown Statesboro’s all-new event facility, The Foxhall.

From the organizers:

It is amazing how forty years can seem like a lifetime and seem like “just the other day.” The year 1984 saw changes in the world such as Apple introducing the Macintosh. Apple’s first Mac retailed for $2,500 (about $7,500 in today's dollars). Prince released the Purple Rain movie and soundtrack and became a global sensation. Mary Lou Retton became the first woman to win an Olympic gold medal in gymnastics at the Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.

Here in Statesboro, a group of bright-eyed and eager Seniors saw their 12 years of hard work pay off when they graduated from Statesboro High School as the Class of 1984. Those young men and women went on to lead diverse lives spread out over the United States.

Now, it is time for the 1984 Blue Devil graduates to come back together to remember and laugh about good times, remember those we’ve lost, and raise a toast to 1984.

Tickets are $75 each and on sale now. They can be purchased at shsclassof84.com. The deadline to register is June 23rd, and contact information for questions is also available at the link.
