Southeast Leadership Conference to bring expert insights on modern leadership trends on April 25th

Georgia Southern University’s Division of Continuing and Professional Education is set to host the Southeast Leadership Conference on April 25, 2025, offering professionals a chance to gain valuable insights into contemporary leadership challenges. The conference will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the CPE Center in Statesboro and will feature two distinguished keynote speakers: Drew Epting and Lieutenant General Leslie C. Smith.

Epting, Director of Talent Services and Marketing at MAU, will deliver a keynote address titled Engaging and Inspiring a Multi-Generational Workforce. With extensive experience in workforce solutions, Epting specializes in creating strong team cultures and effective workforce strategies to help organizations thrive in today’s competitive market.

Lieutenant General Leslie C. Smith, U.S. Army (retired), will present Building Trust within an Organization. Smith currently serves as the Vice President for Leadership and Education at the Association of the United States Army and is a visiting professor of leadership at Georgia Southern’s Parker College of Business. His extensive leadership experience in both military and corporate settings offers a unique perspective on fostering trust and integrity within teams.

The conference will feature sessions on innovative leadership strategies, covering topics such as remote and hybrid work, AI-driven advancements, and shifting workforce dynamics. Attendees will engage in discussions designed to cultivate leadership styles that empower teams, drive growth, and foster resilience.

The event is open to professionals across industries who are looking to modernize their leadership approaches. Regular registration is $180, while Georgia Southern staff and faculty can register at a discounted rate of $150.

The conference will be held at the CPE Center, located at 10449 US Hwy 301 S., Statesboro, GA. Business casual attire is recommended.
