Southeast Bulloch Flag Football team hosting t-shirt fundraiser

The three-time state champion Lady Yellow Jackets of Southeast Bulloch High School have played 62 games and won each of them, including each regional championship game and each state championship game they’ve played. They are currently doing a campaign with locally owned Helpful Tees to raise money for the players on the 2023 Championship Team to purchase their championship rings.

Georgia started recognizing flag football as a Georgia High School Association sport four years ago, and Southeast Bulloch has been competing for three of those four years. SEB competes in Division 1, which was intended to be teams from Single A through 4-A classifications, but due to the geographic locations of the teams, there are some 5A, 6A, and 7A teams in the division.

The team includes 28 players, and they play seven vs seven. The school board provides money to the schools for facilities and coaches, but not for additional expenses such as travel, equipment, uniforms, officials, and other expenses, such as the championship rings.

The fundraising campaign is currently running through January 31, 2024, and proceeds from the purchase of the shirts will help Southeast Bulloch High School to purchase rings for the players.

Community members interested in purchasing a shirt can do so at helpfultees.com/products/sebhs-3-peat-shirts-ends-1-31-24.

Helpful Tees is a social fundraising platform that allows individuals to raise money and awareness for causes that they care about through the sales of customized clothing.

Denys Miller, owner of Catalyst Promotions, Davis Marketing Company, and Helpful Tees, said, “At the end of your campaign, we ship the shirts and send the funds that were raised to you, your charity, or your organization. Helpful Tees is 100% free to use, and if your campaign generates a profit, we pass those funds along to you at the end of your campaign.”

Catalyst Promotions and Miller have been long-time supporters of Southeast Bulloch, so Miller is excited to help the team raise the money to purchase these well-deserved championship rings.

The team, currently ranked Number 1 in the state of Georgia, will begin practicing for the 2024 season in September, and they will begin playing regular season games in October, finishing the season in December.
