Senior Night Delight: Bulloch Academy defeats Pinewood Christian Academy 48-7 in regular season finale

The team celebrating after two back to back undefeated seasons.

On October 25th, the Bulloch Academy Gators put the finishing touches on their perfect season, toppling Pinewood Christian Academy 48-7 in their final regular season game. With this win, the Gators move to a flawless 9-0 record, showing up with grit, strategy, and a whole lot of spirit to the Swamp, making Senior Night one to remember.

1st Quarter
The night opened with Parker Chance kicking off the defensive action with the first tackle, quickly joined by J.T. Lee, who made a big one of his own. Pinewood’s Patriots soon realized they had their work cut out for them, especially after it took a whole line of them to slow down Sam Hubbard, the Gators’ powerhouse QB. The Gators set the tone with their first touchdown thanks to Shamar Jenkins, and Case Woodrum didn’t miss a beat, securing the extra point. With a turnover on downs for the Patriots, the Gators snagged the ball at Pinewood’s 44-yard line. Danye Gavin wasted no time driving in the next touchdown, followed by Woodrum once again with the extra point.

2nd Quarter
The Gators continued to unleash their explosive playbook in the second quarter. Ike Hubbard showed off his speed with a blazing run, and Jenkins added another touchdown, giving the home crowd plenty to cheer about. Rocco Reiss wasn’t letting anything slide by either, soaring to deflect a pass in style. Another long run by Ike Hubbard set the scene, and Billy Crider closed the quarter with another touchdown, supported by a successful extra point.

3rd Quarter
The Gators didn’t let up as Jenkins snagged another touchdown, though the extra point attempt was blocked this time. But that didn’t faze the Gators – soon after, Parker Chance drove in the next touchdown, and this time, the extra point made it through the uprights. Rocco Reiss, back with his defensive prowess, made another solid tackle. With just two seconds left in the third, Pinewood managed to score, finally getting on the board.

4th Quarter
Reiss wasn’t done yet; he took it to the house with a touchdown in the fourth quarter, followed by a successful extra point. A punt recovery by Finley Stewart secured the ball for the Gators, and the team held strong to close out their victorious Senior Night.

The celebration was made even sweeter with a heartfelt recognition of Bulloch Academy’s graduating seniors, who each took a well-deserved moment to shine. For Cheer, Sydney Blythe, Piper Finley, Mary-Lane Jones, Charlee Standridge, and Wynn Wildes were honored. Football seniors TJ Durden, Land Kennedy, Shamar Jenkins, Parker Chance, Keonte Mayner, Ike Hubbard, William Polk, Joshua Mager, Eason Dailey, JT Lee, Jack Harkins, Spencer Galo, Micah McDonald and Hamp Haralson took their bows on the field.
