Wait—hold on! Santa and Mrs. Claus spotted in Bulloch County? We Bulloch County residents already love our celebrations: the food, the fellowship, and all the fun, but having this charming couple pop in and out of the celebrations puts them way over the top! What’s going on here? Are they making Bulloch County their home base for spreading holiday cheer?
Statesboro and Bulloch County have been bustling this December 2024! There have been Santa sightings and pop-in visits for numerous Christmas parties, celebrations, and gatherings. Santa visits to independent living, assisted living, and nursing residences are a heartwarming touch, especially during this season, bringing joy to seniors and children alike and creating cherished memories for families and communities.
After receiving a special email from Santa this week, he shared with me that he has been busy! In Statesboro, he's been to eight events, as well as making special appearances in Cumming, Woodstock, and other Georgia cities—and even traveling to Asheville, North Carolina, for a Hurricane Helene benefit! Spreading holiday cheer far and wide!
Santa and Mrs. Claus shared their LOVE for Willow Pond Senior Care, where I met them at ‘Happy Hour with Santa’ on Friday, December 13, 2024. Santa said, "It's always a pleasure to connect with local media, who support our community, spending time visiting, getting to know the friendly folks who support our seniors who were the children we visited on Christmas Eve so many, many years ago.”
Santa and Mrs. Claus definitely define the true spirit of Christmas, keeping it alive and well in Statesboro and surrounding areas. Santa whispered to me that he was raised and schooled in Statesboro and later attended Elf University, where he met Mrs. Claus, before they raised their family in the North Pole.
“I will be visiting every Christmas as long as I have breath in my lungs to the wonderful and loving people at Willow Pond and the Statesboro area. It is such joy to see the smiling faces of young and old alike and feel the true Spirit of Christmas everywhere. The most fun is visiting senior assisted living residences. Seniors are so appreciative, share the spirit of Christmas, and love to banter with Santa.”
It is part of the joy, the wonder, and the tradition that brings people together at this time of year. Enjoy the festivities, ring the bells, and let the magic of Christmas fill your heart with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments!
