Statesboro Mercantile hosted its second ever Kid's Pop-Up Market on September 14. After the success of the inaugural market in the spring, Mercantile owner Ashlee Redding was excited to bring the event back.
Check out the young makers who made the market a success below.
Ansley’s Creations
Ansley added a playful touch to the market with her slime kits and beaded art. Her booth was packed with colorful creations that caught the eyes of visitors. The slime kits, in particular, were a hit among younger attendees, adding a fun and interactive element to the market.
Olivia with Knots of Joy (Not pictured)
At just 11 years old, Olivia has a love for horseback riding, camping, and spending time with family and friends. Recently, she discovered a new passion: macramé. Her booth, Knots of Joy, was filled with beautiful, intricate pieces that she was proud to present. The market was her chance to showcase her new talent, and her unique creations did not disappoint.
Bailey Brown, a 12-year-old and 7th grader at Trinity Christian School, is a crochet artist with entrepreneurial spirit. Bailey hand-crochets plushies that bring smiles to anyone who sees them. Her love for dogs, dance, and traveling with family all influence her creativity. This isn’t Bailey’s first business venture; she started off making and selling jewelry and desserts. Now, her crochet plushies were on proud display at the market, offering a glimpse into her dedication and passion for creating.
Lillian Inspired
Lillian Newman, the 13-year-old behind Lillian Inspired, is a crochet enthusiast who brings fun and joy to every piece she creates. From tiny animals to scarves, blankets to baby loveys, flower bouquets to purses, Lillian's creativity knows no bounds. She’s even expanded her reach beyond the market, offering her crafts on Etsy under the name "LillianInspired." Her booth was filled with colorful and cozy items that showed off her skill and love for working with all kinds of yarn.

Clara Joy has been crocheting for four years and has already built a reputation for her handcrafted loveys, pillows, toys, and keychains. Her passion shines through every piece she makes, and the community has taken notice. Statesboro Mercantile has been proudly carrying Clara Joy's loveys for the past year, and they’ve become one of their most popular gift items. Clara's dedication and skill were evident in each item she brought to the market, making her booth a must-see.

His booth was a showcase of his talent and love for the craft.
Last but not least, we have Blue Rose Jewelry. As you can see below, they sell an assortment of jewelry. Along with the necklaces, there are an assortment of bracelets of different colors and sizes. What's even more unique about it is that they have bracelets that are different Taylor Swift album themed!
