A man believed to be in his 60s is in serious condition after being shot Sunday evening in Statesboro.
At 8:07 p.m. on November 17, 2024, Bulloch County 911 dispatched the Statesboro Police Department and Bulloch County EMS to the area of Bobby Donaldson Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. A man was found lying on the side of the road with multiple gunshot wounds.
Bulloch County EMS transported the man to East Georgia Regional Medical Center (EGRMC) for treatment.
Statesboro Police Chief Mike Broadhead stated that investigators believe the shooting stemmed from a family disturbance. No arrests have been made at this time, and officers remained at the scene for several hours gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses. Broadhead also assured residents that this is an isolated incident and there is no concern of threat or danger to the neighborhood
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
