The American Legion Dexter Allen Post 90 is currently accepting applications for membership in the newly established Sons of the American Legion squadron, comprised of males of all ages with parents or grandparents who served in the US military and meet The American Legion's eligibility requirements.
Since its inception in 1932, the Sons of the American Legion has united individuals to preserve American heritage, enhance youth development, support veterans and their families, and promote civic responsibility.
Young members can engage in developmental programs such as 'The Ten Ideals' and 'The Five-Point Program of Service' to cultivate patriotism and leadership.
To be eligible, applicants must be male descendants, adopted sons, stepsons, grandsons, or great grandsons of American Legion members or veterans who served honorably from 1917-1918 or 1941-present. Age birth and up.
The inaugural meeting of Sons of American Legion Squadron 90 is scheduled for November 7th, 2024, at 7:00 pm at American Legion Post 90, located at 100 Rucker Lane, Statesboro, GA.
