Little fans with big excitement: PPEC got a visit from the Southern Pride Marching Band to celebrate Homecoming week

The Southern Pride Marching Band delighted their audience of 1 to 4-year-olds and grownups alike at Pittman Park Education Center (PPEC) during Georgia Southern Homecoming week. The band gave a lively performance and even played a few numbers from popular cartoons.

Developing local pride and igniting team spirit starts early for the youngsters at PPEC, which is a part of Pittman Park United Methodist Church in Statesboro, Georgia.

From the big kids to the buggy-riders, excitement was everywhere.

The Center's director, Kimberly Mitchell, said she reaches out to the Georgia Southern marching band each year as part of PPEC's Homecoming week tradition. The joy of seeing their children experience the marching band gives families a fun and festive highlight during the busy fall season.

Little fans watched with BIG excitement as the Southern Pride Marching Band performed.

The youngsters participate in a variety of dress-up days and themed arts and crafts activities throughout the week, as well.

Hearing the youngest Eagles fans cheering and clapping with the band is something PPEC families have come to look forward to each year. Go Eagles!
