J.C. Lewis Ford Pooler was proud to welcome a group of automotive students from Effingham College & Career Academy for an exciting and educational visit to the dealership. The event included a tour of the dealership's state-of-the-art service department followed by a conference and lunch aimed to inspire the next generation of automotive technicians.
Students visited J.C. Lewis Ford Pooler as part of a partnership facilitated through WrenchWay, an online platform connecting schools with local service centers and dealerships to help boost interest in the automotive and diesel trades. Effingham College & Career Academy provides its students with hands-on experience through their coursework, and their visit was an opportunity to observe real-life applications of the skills they’ve learned and practiced in the Academy’s own service department.
In addition, the conference portion of the event––led by J.C. Lewis Ford Mobile Service Manager Jason Brittain––offered guidance and insight into automotive technician careers at J.C. Lewis Motor Company. Other speakers included J.C. Lewis Talent Manager Ashley Eldridge and J.C. Lewis HR Director Jeremy Conover.
“We’re thrilled to host these talented students and provide a behind-the-scenes look at the real-word environment that they can expect in the automotive industry,” says Mobile Service Manager Jason Brittain. “This is a great opportunity to share our passion for excellence and help guide future technicians toward a rewarding career that can last a lifetime.”
Each J.C. Lewis Ford location is committed to investing in the future of automotive service by connecting with students, educators, and industry leaders to foster career development and impactful learning experiences. "We look forward to what we know will be exciting careers for Effingham College & Career Academy’s automotive technician students," Ashley Eldridge added.
