Georgia Southern student Daniel Troyano scores top points at BizPitch Savannah 2024

The BizPitch competition reached an exciting conclusion on October 18th, with Georgia Southern University computer science honors student, Daniel Troyano, emerging as the highest-scoring participant. Troyano’s innovative app, Stepwise, earned his team the top spot in a hard-fought win.

The BizPitch competition, an annual event organized by SCORE Savannah, is designed to encourage and support local entrepreneurs as they develop and pitch their business ideas. The event featured eight finalists who competed for the top three positions by pitching their businesses to a panel of seasoned judges.

Stepwise is an app that allows users to automate their repetitive, everyday computer tasks. The simple and intuitive interface allows anyone to save time, whether or not they are familiar with the concepts of coding.

"I'm so proud of Daniel and the entire Stepwise team for their hard work. Daniel has really been the driving force behind this project,” said Adam Tsang, CEO of Marketing for Stepwise. “This is a great first step and we’re planning on entering more competitions like this to really get Stepwise on the map.”

Daniel was one of three winners to walk away with $3,000 cash and a benefits package designed to help out small businesses.
