On Saturday, October 26, 2024, the Statesboro Family YMCA held its 5th annual Trunk or Treat for local families. The unseasonably warm day didn't stop a huge crowd of little princesses, Spidermen, Ninja Turtles, and mermaids from enjoying a fun afternoon collecting candy!

Vendors began setting up early in the afternoon with their themed trunks and candy supplies. Each vendor was asked to bring approximately 1,000 pieces of candy! The Y passed out healthy snacks, too.

Among the trunks, there were Minions, germs, Beetlejuice characters, bumblebees, and much more, offering a wide variety of themes from spooky to sweet. A total of 30 community vendors participated this year, offering a fun and safe environment for trick-or-treating ahead of Halloween night.

"This is such a fun and fantastic event for all of the families in Bulloch County," Hannah Beggs, executive director of the Statesboro YMCA said. "Not only is it safe for the families and kids to be able to trick or treat, it's a fantastic event for the vendors to get involved in the community!"

You can check out all the fun and festive trunks below.
