Bulloch Sheriff's Deputies make major drug bust on North Main Street in Statesboro

A months-long investigation by the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office Crime Suppression Team (CST) culminated in a significant drug bust on North Main Street on Monday morning, February 10, 2025. Acting on citizen complaints and anonymous tips, the CST executed a search warrant at a residence within Statesboro city limits, uncovering a substantial quantity of methamphetamine and fentanyl, along with multiple firearms.

The operation involved CST Investigators, BCSO K9 Deputies, and the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team.

The search resulted in the arrest of seven individuals on a variety of drug and weapons charges.

Samuel Dixon

Faces the most serious charges, including:

  • Trafficking Methamphetamine
  • Trafficking Fentanyl
  • Possession of Drug Related Objects
  • Crossing of Guard Lines with Weapons, Intoxicants, or Drugs Without Consent of Warden or Superintendent
  • Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon
  • Possession of Firearm during Commission of Certain Felonies

Taylor Dixon

  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Firearm During Commission of Certain Felonies

 Michael Sheffield

  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Drug Related Objects
  • Possession of Firearm During Commission of Certain Felonies

 Lewis Burke

  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Drug Related Objects
  • Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon
  • Possession of Firearm During Commission of Certain Felonies

Salena Dyches

  • Possession of Schedule IV Controlled Substance
  • Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon
  • Possession of Firearm During Commission of Certain Felonies
  • Possession of Drug Related Objects

James Zeigler

  • Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon
  • Possession of Marijuana less than one ounce
  • Possession of Drug Related Object

Cameron Jones

  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Firearm During Commission of Certain Felonies

Sheriff Noel Brown commended the work of the Crime Suppression Team and urged citizens to continue reporting suspected drug activity. He emphasized that all complaints remain anonymous and are thoroughly investigated.
