Bulloch Academy dominates Strong Rock Christian School in 49-14 victory

In a commanding performance, Bulloch Academy triumphed over Strong Rock Christian School, winning decisively with a score of 49-14.

1st Quarter:

Just two minutes into the game, #4 Ike Hubbard burst through the South Rock defense, sprinting into the end zone for the evening’s opening touchdown. #16 Case Woodrum followed up with a solid extra point.

The Gators continued their dominance, with #1 Shamar Jenkins showcasing his agility on an impressive 14-yard run to extend the lead. At the end of the first quarter, Bulloch Academy held a firm 14-0 advantage.

Head Coach Aaron Phillips expressed confidence in his team’s performance, stating, “What we do gives people fits. We have a 3 or 4-headed monster in the backfield, and we're pretty good up front, but it all starts with those guys who have their hands in the dirt.”

2nd Quarter:

Bulloch Academy came out strong in the second quarter, with Jenkins scoring another touchdown almost immediately with a powerful run. South Rock finally responded when Jake Johnson muscled through for a 1-yard touchdown, narrowing the gap to 21-7.

However, the Gators struck back quickly. #22 Danye Garvin executed a dazzling 19-yard run, extending the lead once more and sending the teams into halftime with a score of 35-7.

3rd Quarter:

The second half began, and Bulloch Academy showed no signs of slowing down. #6 Sam Hubbard powered in with a 2-yard run, widening the gap further. South Rock managed a response with a 67-yard sprint from #4 Landon Stancil, but the Gators maintained control of the game.

Coach Phillips highlighted the standout performance of Parker Chance, stating, “He had to play on both sides of the ball, racking up tackles on defense and scoring his first career touchdown, gaining some hard yards—that's huge for a senior.”

4th Quarter:

Bulloch Academy continued to assert their dominance in the fourth quarter. Midway through, #2 Parker Chance dashed in for a 4-yard run, marking a thrilling first career touchdown for the young athlete. The crowd erupted as the final score flashed: 49-14 in favor of the Gators.

This decisive victory highlighted Bulloch Academy's exceptional teamwork and relentless spirit, leaving a strong impression on their home turf. After the game, Coach Phillips delivered a crucial message: “Our message is about avoiding complacency. We can’t be satisfied; we have to stay hungry. You win these games Monday through Thursday, not just on Friday nights.”
