A Bulloch County teenager has died after being injured in Bulloch County shooting

Bulloch County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a shooting incident that occurred Saturday morning, December 21, 2024, in the area of Waters Cemetery Church Road.

Bulloch County 911 dispatched deputies, first responders, and Sheriff's deputies to the scene at 10:51 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.

A  17 year old male was transported to East Georgia Regional Medical Center (EGRMC) in critical condition due to a gunshot injury where he later died.

An adult male was also transported to EGRMC with gunshot injuries.  He was later flown by medical helicopter to Memorial Medical Center in Savannah.  His condition is unknown at the time of this story.

The 17 year old was a student at Southeast Bulloch High School in Brooklet, GA.  

Bulloch County Sheriff Noel Brown has confirmed that this is an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.

Sheriff's investigators were on scene most of the day on Saturday conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
