Statesboro High's Erica Scripture named 2025 Georgia Economics Teacher of the Year

The Georgia Council on Economic Education (GCEE) is proud to announce that Ms. Erica Scripture of Statesboro High School (Bulloch County) has been named the 2025 Georgia Economics Teacher of the Year.

In her 17th year of teaching, Ms. Scripture has consistently demonstrated excellence in delivering economic education to her students.

Ms. Scripture attributes part of her success to the professional development workshops and resources provided by GCEE, which have enhanced her instructional strategies and classroom engagement. Her dedication to fostering economic understanding among high school students is crucial, as it exemplifies GCEE's mission to prepare students for their roles as informed consumers, workers, and citizens in a global economy.
