Southeast Bulloch High School STEM Club shines at SEGA Invitational

SEB STEM team

Southeast Bulloch High School's STEM Club made a remarkable impression at the Southeast Georgia Invitational Science Olympiad Tournament (SEGA), hosted on their own campus this past weekend.

The SEB Varsity team stepped up to the plate in a big way, running the event, which welcomed 14 middle and high school teams from three states for an intense day of scientific competition.

While the Varsity team was busy managing the tournament, the JV teams were hard at work, showcasing their talent and determination. Their efforts paid off in a big way, with the Yellow Jackets dominating the competition and earning an impressive array of awards.

The JV teams earned:

  • 11 Gold Medals
  • 6 Silver Medals
  • 10 Bronze Medals
  • 1st Place Overall Team

This was an incredible achievement for their students and a true testament to their hard work and dedication. These students not only excelled in their individual events, but they also demonstrated great teamwork, sportsmanship, and problem-solving skills throughout the day.

The SEGA Invitational brought top-tier competition to the rural South, and the Southeast Bulloch teams proved they could hold their own against some of the best. The event not only provided an opportunity for SEB students to shine but also highlighted the growing STEM presence in the region.

Congratulations to the Yellow Jackets for an outstanding performance and for continuing to make Southeast Bulloch proud!
