Crider Foods expands annual program to support local teachers

Nominations are now open to recognize an outstanding educator for the chance to receive $1,500 in additional classroom supplies.

Georgia-based Crider Foods® is the most trusted name in contract food packing. In addition to making the world’s best canned, pouch, and fully cooked frozen foods, the company spearheads and supports philanthropic initiatives to further their comprehensive commitment to feeding the future.

The company has announced the return of its annual Teacher Pay It Forward program. The campaign encourages students, parents, and community members from surrounding counties to nominate inspiring teachers who have gone above and beyond their call of duty.

Due to the overwhelming show of support for the teachers in our community last year, Crider foods has expanded the program to be able to recognize even more outstanding teachers. This year, a total of $19,500 will be divided among thirteen outstanding teachers, each of whom will receive a $1,500 budget to purchase additional classroom supplies for the upcoming school year.

The Teacher Pay It Forward program is part of a larger effort by Crider Foods to go beyond the factory floor, working to make a positive impact on the communities where its workforce members reside.

“As a company dedicated to making a positive impact on our local communities, we are thrilled to expand our annual Teacher Pay It Forward program in 2023. Not only are we adding Bulloch and Toombs county schools, bringing the total to 46 schools, but we are also increasing the funding. By investing in our teachers and classrooms, we're not just supporting education today, but also feeding the future success of our communities through the growth of young minds.” said Grace Ann, Crider Foods Marketing Specialist.

Nominations are now open and can be submitted at TeacherPayItForward.com. All nominations must be submitted by 9 a.m. EDT on April 28. Thirteen exceptional teachers will be selected and contacted, then announced on the Crider Foods Facebook page on May 5, 2023.
