To the holiday delight of the Bulloch County community, the Thompson family is opening their annual Christmas Lights drive-thru again this year! The light show will open on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 28, 2024 and run through Saturday, December 28, 2024, allowing a full month for the community to enjoy the beautiful lights.
Believed to be one of the largest and longest drive-through Christmas lights displays in Georgia, the TMT Farm display, hosted by Roy and Deborah Thompson and their family, consists of over two miles of Christmas lights!
The light show will be open seven days a week (including Sundays) from dark until 1am nightly. It is a drive-thru ONLY, and citizens are asked not to get out of their cars at any point during the light show.
In addition to personal vehicles, hayrides, UTVs, RVs, and buses are welcome. Groups can park at the entrance area to combine vehicles and ride together. Restrooms will also be located at the entrance areas by the road.
In the event of inclement weather, please check the farm's Facebook page for updates on operation. The Thompsons may have to close the display in the event of too much rain, so make sure and check to see if it is open before you make the drive.
As a special treat for all senior citizens, they will open it one night early on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 so that nursing homes, group homes and those with disabilities that can't wait in the typical lines of traffic can come enjoy the lights. They will be open from dark until 10:00pm on the 27th.
No admission charge; gifts collected will be given to families in need
TMT Farm does not charge admission for this special service they provide our community at Christmastime. Instead, they ask that you bring nonperishable food items; new, unwrapped toys; pet food or supplies; or a cash donation as your entry "fee." The food and toys will be distributed to families in need throughout Bulloch and surrounding counties.
Cash donations do not go toward the light display; they are used throughout the year to help those in need with costs such as rent, power, medical procedures, gas, and more.
For sanitary reasons, they cannot accept used clothing, bedding, or toys.
Together we can make a difference -- please help TMT help others! TMT Farms collects enough food during this annual event to help supply the food banks for nearly the entire year.
Be a good neighbor
Please remember that traffic will be very heavy during the first few nights, as well as on weekends during the season. Please do not leave trash on the farm or exit your vehicle within the display.
The Thompsons are kind enough to open their property each year to the community, so please be patient, courteous, and respectful to ensure a safe experience for everyone!
"We hope you will come out and help us celebrate the Christmas season -- also, to help us help those who need a hand up," Mr. Roy Thompson said. "God bless each of you and can't wait to see you!"
