The Boro turns out for 80s night as The Breakfast Club takes the Downtown Live stage

The Breakfast Club band plays during the second Downtown Live Concert series

It was a perfect spring night to go back to the 80s in Downtown Statesboro with The Breakfast Club. This was the second performance of the season in the third annual Downtown Live concert series. The Breakfast Club was founded in 1993, which makes it the longest running 80s tribute band in the country.

From Def Leppard to Duran Duran, the band had the crowd wearing their 'Sunglasses at Night.'

The throwback performance continued the season of free, family-friendly entertainment set against the backdrop of the Bulloch County Courthouse.

Running on select Thursday evenings from April through June, the Downtown Live series offers six free concerts on East Main Street. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy the festive atmosphere. Food trucks and vendors open at 6pm each concert night, with downtown restaurants also nearby. The shows begin at 7pm.
