To help usher in another year of Eagle Football, the Georgia Southern Department of Athletics is offering a free concert featuring local country artist and hometown star Dylan Marlowe.
"We are excited to welcome Dylan Marlowe back to his hometown to play a concert for Eagle Nation the night before our first football game," said director of athletics Jared Benko.
Marlowe hails from Statesboro and will be "Back in the Boro" to help kick off the season.
Georgia Southern Athletics Department will host the free show on Friday, Sept. 2, at 7 p.m. outside Allen E. Paulson Stadium.
"We are constantly adding new elements to help turn our game days into weekend events and this concert is the first in a line of fan engagement upgrades and activations coming this season," said Benko.

Tyler Collins
The Grice Connect team wants to give a shout out to Dylan's tour manager Tyler Collins who is also a Statesboro native. It takes a lot of magic behind the scene to pull of a tour or even a concert.
We recommend following both Dylan and Tyler on instagram and other social media outlets. Tyler gives you a wonderful inside look of what life on the road is like touring with superstars and what it takes to put on an amazing show in a multiple cities in a week.
Tyler is Grice Connect's founders, DeWayne and Lori Grice, nephew so all of us on the Grice Connect team are proud of Tyler, Dylan and their entire team for chasing this amazing dream.
