Andrea Whitfield, a past chair and long time Chamber Ag committee was named the 2020 Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber Ag Partner of the year. Andrea is employed by Ag South and has been a long time advocate for farmers and the agribusiness community.
The award was presented to Andrea Whitfield at the 2020 Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber Agribusinesses Committee's Farm City luncheon which was held at the Bulloch County Ag Arena.
Charlie McCook, with Taulbee, Rushing, Snipes, Marsh & Hodgin, LLC, the 2020 Agribusiness Chair opened the program with remarks on how COVID has proven the value of the agribusiness community.
Emma Grace Smith received the OTC Endowment.
Georgia State Representative Tom McCall was the guest speaker for the meeting. Representative McCall spoke about agribusiness legislative accomplishments and future goals of the legislature.
A farmer himself, McCall reminded the audience that everyone in the world in impacted by a farmer. He praised the work of the Chamber's agribusiness community and marveled at the incredible Bulloch Ag Arena.
