Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber Rising Begins in the Boro

Jonathan McCollar, Mayor, City of Statesboro

Chamber Rising, an event created to bring Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber Members together with Community leaders to share their vision for the community, was held Thursday morning at Three Tree Coffee Roasters.  The event was sponsored by Paul Newman, Owner of Statesboro Real Estate.

Three Tree Coffee Roasters is located on what is now known as the Blue Mile (one mile stretch of South Main Street from the entrance of Georgia Southern University to the Courthouse in Downtown Statesboro).

Statesboro leaders who presented included Mayor Jonathan McCollar, GSU President Dr. Kyle Marrero, Bulloch County Commissioner Jappy Stringer, GSU Small Business Development Center Director Dr. Dominique Halaby, Visit Statesboro CVB Executive Director Becky Davis, and Chamber Chairman of the Board, Chris Gohagan.

Dr. Kyler Marrerro, President, Georgia Southern University

Each of the leaders gave inspiring speech on what we can look forward to in our community.

Skip Alford, Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber President

President Skip Alford has only been on the job a few months, but he and his team are working hard to find new ways to bring Chamber members together with community leaders.  Statesboro’s  first ever “Chamber Rising” is an example of this.
