Georgia Southern (GS) will be on the road this Saturday taking on the Trojans of Troy University.

The Eagles are currently 13-5 overall and 5-4 in the Sun Belt after falling to Louisiana, 68-58, on Thursday at Hanner.

The 58 points were a season low for GS, which remains ranked in the top five nationally in points per game (85.1).

Troy comes into Saturday's contest at 12-8 overall but 7-2 in the Sun Belt after the Trojans defeated in-state rival South Alabama, 81-62, on Thursday.

The Trojans out rebounded the Jaguars by a 63-39 margin. Saturday's matchup features two of the top five rebounding teams in NCAA Division I.

The Trojans leads the nation at 51.20 rebounds per game, while the Eagles rank fifth at 46.78 per game.

Troy leads the overall series between the two teams, 20-3, and the Trojans are an unbeaten 10-0 against the Eagles when playing at home, including last season's 82-70 win over GS.

The Eagles' 96-91 win over the Trojans back on Feb. 5, 2021, in Statesboro snapped a 17-game losing streak to Troy, but since that contest, Troy has won three straight in the series.
