Mrs. Katherine Lester Roberson, age 69, departed this life, Saturday November 5, 2022, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center.
The Statesboro native was the daughter of the late Rufus and Idella Campbell Lester.
She received her formal education in the public school system of Bulloch County and was a retired employee of the Bulloch County Board of Education as a custodian for Sallie Zetterower Elementary School.
She was a member of the Middle Ground Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by a brother Calvin Lester and a sister, Maydel Lester Reese.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Billy Roberson Jr., Vickie (Donald) Sawyer, Cassandra (Joseph) Leeks, Tracey (Jerry) Smith and Debra Hernandez; her sisters, Ruby Lester, Alarita Hagan, Albetta Lester, Bertha Lester, Linda (Jewel) Smith, Bonnie (William) Banks, Sherrie Lester and Dianne Lester; brothers, Johnny Lester and Torrence Lamar Lester; 18 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
Family visitation for Mrs. Roberson, will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 6pm to 7pm at Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.
The funeral services for Mrs. Katherine Roberson, will be held 2 pm, Sunday, November 13, 2022, at the Ben Samuel Hill Memorial Chapel of Hill’s Mortuary, Inc. with the Rev. James Johnson, officiating. Burial will follow in the Lee Cemetery.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill’s Mortuary, Inc.
