Georgia Southern University’s (GS) football team is looking to redeem themselves against Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns tonight in Lafayette.

The two teams will face off Nov. 10 at 7:30 p.m. at Cajun Field in Lafayette as part of the Sun Belt Conference.

In the series, Louisiana leads GS four-to-one. Louisiana has won the last three contests in the series.

To make matters worse, GS has not won a game against Louisiana since 2017. And, the last time the two teams met, Louisiana beat GS 28-to-20 on the Eagles' home field.

Tonight, under the guidance of coach Clay Helton, GS will look to redeem their previous losses.

This will be the second Thursday night game Helton has coached. In his last game the Eagles won 45-to-24 over California.

Currently, the Eagles are averaging 36.22 points per game, which ranks first in the conference.

Eagles quarterback Kyle Vantrease has thrown at least one touchdown pass in all nine games this season, which is a new school record. A win tonight will make the team bowl-eligible for the fifth time.

The Eagles vs. the Ragin Cajun game will be broadcast on ESPN2. The game was originally slated for ESPNU but has since been elevated to ESPN2.

The Georgia Southern Sports Network radio station will also carry coverage of the match.
