Bulloch Schools Safe - No threat after hoax active shooter call in Savannah

Statesboro Police Chief Mike Broadhead has confirmed that all Statesboro and Bulloch County schools are SAFE.
SAFETY ALERT

Statesboro Police Chief Mike Broadhead has confirmed that all Statesboro and Bulloch County schools are SAFE. Multiple law enforcement agencies from the region responded to reports of an active shooter in schools in Savannah and Brunswick this morning. This has been confirmed as a hoax by the FBI.

As a precaution, Chief Broadhead has increased police presence at all city schools as has Sheriff Noel Brown for all county schools. He also said all schools have been asked to increase security measures today as a precaution as well.

According to Broadhead, the FBI shared with him that this hoax is becoming more common throughout the country and on the east coast.

Grice Connect will continue to monitor this situation and will immediately report any changes or concerns.
