For the past 12 years Dancing with the Statesboro Stars has drawn sold out crowds where community members come to watch local celebrities and their dance partners dance. The event is the largest annual fundraiser for Safe Haven who help victims of domestic violence.
Because of the communities continued support of this event has made each year such a success. Each dollar given can truly help save a life right here in our community. Together, we are making a difference!
Safe Haven is a non-profit organization who’s mission is to serve, strengthen, and support adult and child victims of domestic violence through the provision of emergency shelter and community-based services. Safe Haven serves Bulloch, Candler, Effingham, Jenkins, Screven and Washington Counties.
Two shows at Connection Church
This years Dancing with the Statesboro Stars will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 6:30pm with an encore show will be Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 3pm. Both shows will be held at Connection Church located on 1342 Cawana Road in Statesboro.

Since the 2022 teams were announced in June, these dedicated community stars have been working hard to learn dance routines and to raise money for Safe Haven. They have spent countless hours working to make our community a safer and better place to live. For that we at Grice Connect are very grateful.

Raising money and awareness
Dancing with the Statesboro Stars, presented by Wing Maxx raises critical funds for the organization it also helps bring awareness to the impact that domestic violence has on our community and the communities that they serve. Over 25 percent of women and 14 percent of men experience domestic violence. Safe Haven provides over 21,000 services to citizens annually.

Dancing with the Statesboro Stars, presented by Wing Maxx, tickets for this year’s shows will officially go on sale beginning Tuesday, November 1, 2022. You can purchase your tickets online at https://buy.tututix.com/DWTSS or in person at Morris Bank’s main office located on 201 North Main Street in downtown Statesboro.
Tickets are $35.
Interactive Red Carpet Experience
This year they will have an interactive Red Carpet prior to the show on Thursday. Please join DWTSS to show your support and cheer on all of the dancers! Celebrity judges will be awarding the Judge’s Choice Award on Thursday evening, and Sunday is just as exciting as our community gets to choose which team wins that prestigious Mirror Ball Fan Favorite Award. The dancers have worked so hard and you do not want to miss out on this family friendly event!
